## Connection Requirements

### IP

Enter the IP address of your Asgard Asset Management instance.

### Port

Specify the port number for the connection. This field is optional and defaults to 8443.

### API Key

You need an API key to access the ASGARD Management Center API. Your API key can be generated in **User Settings > API Key.**

Your API key has the same rights as your user. If you want an API key with restricted permissions, create another user with restricted permissions and use their API key.

### Fetch Installed Software

Choose if you'd like to fetch installed software information (default: True).

### Is Secure?

Enable this option if the connection will be established over **HTTPS**.

Please perform a **connection test** to ensure there is a valid connection to the host.\
When the discovery operation is finalized, you will be able to see the details on the **Assets** page.
