Flowmon

Connection Requirements

1 - Ip

The IP address or hostname of your Flowmon appliance. The adapter talks to the appliance's REST API directly, so the address must be reachable from the connector.

2 - Port

The port the Flowmon web interface and REST API are served on. (default: 443)

3 - Username / Password

The credentials of a Flowmon user account. The adapter authenticates with the OAuth2 password grant against /resources/oauth/token and uses the returned token for every request.

The required role is not documented by Flowmon; an API-read-capable account should be sufficient. Reading the local user list may need an admin-level role — verify with a connection test.

4 - Client id

The OAuth2 client id sent with the token request. Flowmon documents a fixed value for every appliance, so this only needs changing if your installation uses a custom OAuth client.

Default: invea-tech

5 - Lookback hours

Devices are collected from the appliance's active-device view, which is queried over a time window. The window always ends now and starts this many hours in the past. (default: 24)

The Flowmon API returns at most 500 devices per query. When a window is full, the adapter automatically splits it into smaller windows and queries them separately, so larger networks are still collected completely. Longer lookbacks on busy networks simply take more requests.

6 - Is secure

Use HTTPS when connecting to the appliance. (default: enabled)

7 - Timeout

The amount of time (in seconds) to wait for API responses. (default: 30)
