Connection Requirements
Username
The username which is going to be used by OctoXLabs CSAM PLATFORM Asset to fetch data from Forti SASE. The user needs to have "Read-only administrator" rights on FortiClient EMS to read details.
To create a user with API access:
Log into the FortiCloud Identity & Access Management (IAM) portal as an IAM user with Admin permissions.
Set up a resource-based permission profile of type Local allowing IAM users to access FortiSASE as a portal. See Creating a permission profile. It should have read access on reading endpoints
Select Users from the left-hand navigation menu.
Click Add New > API User.
Select newly created permission profile from the Permission Profile dropdown list.
Click Download Credentials. You can enter the generated credentials
Please perform a connection test to ensure there is a valid connection to the host. When the discovery operation is finalized, you will be able to see the details on the Assets page.
