Tableau

Connection Requirements

1 - IP

The IP address or hostname of your Tableau Server instance. For Tableau Cloud, use the server URL (e.g., 10ax.online.tableau.com).

2 - Username

The username of a Tableau Server user with Server Administrator or Site Administrator role. If "Use token" is enabled, enter your Personal Access Token name instead.

3 - Password

The password for the Tableau Server user. If "Use token" is enabled, enter your Personal Access Token secret instead.

4 - Use Token

Enable this option to authenticate using a Personal Access Token (PAT) instead of username and password. When enabled, the Username field should contain the token name and the Password field should contain the token secret.

5 - Content URL

The content URL of the site to connect to. For the default site, leave this field empty. For named sites, enter the site name as it appears in the URL (e.g., "mysite" for https://server/t/mysite).

Default Values

  • Port: 443

  • Is Secure: true

  • Use Token: false

  • Content URL: (empty - default site)

  • Timeout: 30
