## Connection Requirements

### Domain

Enter the domain of your WP Engine instance. This specifies the address where the platform is hosted. Typically, for most users, the default domain is **api.wpengineapi.com**.

### User ID and Password

In the WP Engine User Portal you can create Basic Auth credentials.

It is important to perform a connection test to verify that the WP Engine host can be successfully reached. Once the discovery process is complete, the connection details will be visible on the Assets page.
