Microsoft Active Directory (AD)

Connection Requirements

1 - Domain

Your organization's domain name.(FQDN)

2 - IP or Hostname

IP address or Hostname of the Active Directory host.

3 - Username

The username which is going to be used by OctoXLabs CSAM PLATFORM Asset to fetch data from Active Directory.

The user needs to have "read-only" rights on Active Directory to read device data.

4 - Password

The Password of the provided username.

5 - SSL

Use SSL for connection (optional, default: Unencrypted)

Required Ports

Communication on the below ports must be available from Octo Asset host to Active Directory Host:

• TCP/UDP port 389.

• TCP port 636 - if the Use SSL for connection checkbox is enabled.

Attention

Please perform a connection test to ensure there is a valid connection to the Microsoft AD host. When the discovery operation finalized you will be able to see the details on Assets page.
