Connection Requirements

IP

IP address of the Vmware host.

PORT

Port number (optional, default: 443).

Username

The credentials for a user account that has the Required Permissions to fetch assets.

Password

The Password of the provided username.

Proxy

Proxy url. (optional)

SSL

Use SSL for connection (optional, default: Unencrypted).

🔵 Menu > Administration To create a read-only user in vCenter, first, log in as an administrator. Then, navigate to , and from the left-hand menu, click Users and Groups. Under the Users tab, select the appropriate domain from the "Domain" field and click Add User to fill in the new user's details. Finally, go to Global Permissions from the left menu, add a 'Read-only' permission for this user, and make sure the Propagate to children checkbox is selected.

⚠️ Attention Please perform a connection test to ensure there is a valid connection to the host. When the discovery operation is finalized, you will be able to see the details on the Assets page.
